Egypt
I was an Advisory Board affiliate for the Institute for Study and Integration of Graphical Heritage Techniques
(INSIGHT), With them, I worked for three winter field seasons in Luxor, Egpyt,
and "inshalla" I will contribute many more. My first two seasons,
2001-2002 and 2002-2003, I worked with a team to capture 3D laser scan
data of the tomb of Ramese II and his mortuary temple. This was a
Franco-American-Egyptian initiative. My third year, 2004-2005, I also worked
with INSIGHT, but as a videographer for a web-based European heritage
initiative funded by Starbon.
You can experience my adventures via my 2005 Luxor-Qurna Diaries site and my 2003 Interactive Luxor Narratives (Welcome to Alaska) site, both under Websites as Art/Documentation.
